Also known as Rebula.

Ribolla Gialla is an ancient white wine grape of the Collio and Colli Orientali on the Italy-Slovenia border, where across the frontier in the Brda it is called Rebula. Documented in the region since the Middle Ages, it has become one of Friuli's signature whites and a favourite of skin-contact ('orange') and traditional-method sparkling producers.

Ribolla Gialla gives fresh, high-acid dry whites of pale straw-green color with citrus, green apple, white-flower and mineral character; on extended skin contact it develops deeper amber color, tannin and dried-fruit and tea notes.
