Pampanuto

Pampanuto, also called Pampanino, is a white wine grape native to Puglia, grown on the Murge plateau of the Bari and Barletta-Andria-Trani provinces, especially in the Castel del Monte area. It is a traditional local white that has long served as the base of the Castel del Monte bianco.

Pampanuto gives light-bodied, fresh dry whites of pale straw color with a delicate, neutral, citrus-and-orchard character and good acidity, often blended with or backing more aromatic partners.
