← Grapes

Lambrusco Montericco is one of the distinct biotypes of the Lambrusco family, associated with the Reggio Emilia area (its name recalls the Montericco locality near Albinea). It is a permitted grape in the Reggiano and Colli di Scandiano e di Canossa denominations, where it appears both in blends and as a named varietal.

Like its relatives it makes lightly sparkling reds and rosés with bright acidity and berry-and-floral character.
