Erbanno

Named directly in Valcamonica IGT's own Art. 8 ("vitigni autoctoni che purtroppo stanno scomparendo quali il Valcamonec, l'Erbanno ed il Sebina") as one of three vanishing native varieties of the Valle Camonica — the name itself echoes Erbanno, a frazione of the comune of Darfo Boario Terme, one of the 25 comuni of this IGT's zone. Independent, non-disciplinare sourcing (Ente Vini Bresciani; a Comunità Montana di Valle Camonica publication) corroborates that Sebina, Valcamonec, and Erbanno are real, named, disappearing autochthonous vines of the valley, but adds no further ampelographic detail beyond what the disciplinare itself states — no independent source describes Erbanno's berry color or other characteristics on its own.

AMBIGUITY NOTE: two real, independently-confirmed registered candidates exist for what Valcamonica's bare "Erbanno" could mean, and the disciplinare's own text (which gives no berry color for any of its three named vanishing varieties) does not resolve which is meant: (a) "Erbamat," a white Brescia native already registered with MASAF and separately listed in Alpi Retiche IGT's own Allegato 1 as eligible only for the province of Brescia — a plausible near-homophone; or (b) MASAF's own "Erbanno N." (an official synonym of Schiava Lombarda, scheda 224, recognized by DM 30.05.2018, G.U. 133 dell'11.06.2018 — see data/grapes/schiava-lombarda.json), whose registered name is an EXACT literal match for the disciplinare's own wording, a stronger textual signal than the Erbamat candidate even though it isn't independently confirmed for this specific IGT. This profile documents both candidates rather than asserting either, per this rollout's standing treatment of genuinely unresolved grape identities (same practice as Piemonte's Neretto, Toscana's bare Malvasia entries, and this dataset's bare 'Groppello'/'Schiava').
