← Grapes

Also known as Dalmasso 17-34.

A white grape crossing bred in 1936 by Giovanni Dalmasso (the same breeder behind Albarossa) from Riesling Italico x Furmint, catalogued as "Dalmasso 17-34" and admitted to Italy's national vine variety catalogue in 1977 — combining Riesling's freshness and vigour with Furmint's elegance and structure. Wines are pale straw yellow with greenish highlights, with fine, complex aromas of ripe white fruit (apple, pear), wildflowers, aromatic herbs and light mineral notes; fresh and savoury on the palate, balanced between acidity and softness, sometimes with a light almond note on the finish.
