Boschera

White grapeVeneto, Italy (Fregona, Treviso province)
← Grapes

A rare white grape of the Treviso hills, used for the traditional sweet sparkling Torchiato di Fregona.

Grown for centuries almost exclusively around the village of Fregona; Colli di Conegliano's own disciplinare (Art. 9) describes it as "introvabile nel resto della provincia di Treviso e d'Italia" — unfindable anywhere else in the province or in Italy. Registered in the National Vine Variety Register as MASAF scheda 326, "Boschera B."
